When I worked at the phys. Therapy clinic there was a lady that came for treatment. One day we got to talking about religions and she made the comment she was a priestess, but did not volunteer any other info (as to where at). We did not press the issue since it seemed like she really did not want to tell us. Then, while doing treatment on her neck, we found out. She had the symbol for WICCA tatooed on her neck. It kind of threw us at fist but, of course, no one said anything. She was a real nice lady, kinda weird, but you could also tell you did not want to get on her bad side. This just goes to show that there is witchcraft being practiced in our area. Kinda Scary. But I had heard that they pretty much worshiped the "earth, nature, etc." In high school I knew a girl to proclaimed to be a witch. She would actually "cast spells" on the people she didn't like. (don't know if it worked or not) Kinda freaky. I'm just glad they do keep it quiet and don't try to push their religion on other people. As far as the Satanist....I JUST DO NOT GET IT!!! Who would want to worship evil. Not when you can worship a God of love. I know it talks about it being a waste of time for God to love those who---basically don't deserve it.....but that's what makes it so Great. None of us deserve His love...but He gives it to us unconditionally anyway. I definitely prefer that over a God of hate. Although I must say, I'm really glad one of their rules is NOT TO HARM SMALL CHILDREN....duh! But the one that you don't bother anyone, but if someone bothers you tell them to go away...if they don't DESTROY them. That's a little frightening. I really hope I never bother one of these people!!!!
Both of these "religions" scare the living daylights out of me when I think about what people do and believe. I have known some youth who had friends that practiced WICCA. I don't know alot about it, besides they think they are witches and can perform magic. That in itself is very crazy to me. I don't understand people thinking they have power like that. I just know that I am incapable of anything without Jesus Christ. I am nothing without HIM. I know others find these religions enticing because they believe in their own power. Nick and I watched "Hell's Bells 2" the other day and I was amazed that Satanists main belief is they can do what they want to do. They have the power themselves. This surprised me, I don't know why but it did. The world is all about doing what makes "you" happy. That is why so many people are being pulled into these traps and lies of these religions. It is extremely sad and I pray that these people can and will see the truth before it is too late!
