First I want to say Thanks to Nick. This has really been fun and very interesting. I've never actually looked into any of the other religions before. And definitely never really tried to understand them. I've really enjoyed this. It all boils down to my comment I've made several times.....Most of these religions seem to make things so hard. When Christianity seems to be the most practical and easiest of them all. We just believe! And when we truly have Christ in us, then we WANT to do God's will. It's not like we "have" to do certain works in order to be considered good or able to get into heaven. I am really glad I worship a loving God and not the most evil enitity around. It's a much better thought that I will be going to such a wonderful place like heaven, versus total misery in hell. Why would someone find that worthy of worshipping? I still don't get it. Worshipping Man? Don't those religions see that man dies? But the God we worship sent His son....He was crucified, died, and then rose! How many of their 'gods' did that? And as far as worshipping nature, etc....I love nature. I think it is gorgeous....but, how do you have a god/goddess of the moon, sun, earth, etc? It just seems more practical to worship the ONE WHO CREATED IT ALL! Well, that's really all I have to say I guess. Again, I really enjoyed this. Thanks again, Nick
I have enjoyed learning about these different religions. I think it helps us to understand people that believe these things better and witness to them better. I think that is important to know what were up against in the world. I honestly didn't know very much about some of these religions. I am glad to know more about Catholicism especially since it is heavy in our area. I think we can better present the gospel to someone of another faith if we understand their beliefs. Thanks to Nick and everyone who participated, I enjoyed it!
I alwayssssssssss have something to say...to recap this course...I find much delight in the God of gods Whom I serve. He is an absolute and He never changes. Compares to these false religions, Christianity does not have to prove Itself to anyone or anything. (You can affored to be narrow-minded when you are right...and we are!) If another study would be done in 10 years, you would find that everyone of these religions will have changes in doctrine. Although Christianity may have changes in "methods", our doctrine never changes. The Bible is the one and only source of information. Other religions are man made; therefore, they are changed as man changes. We worship the same God that Moses did! Ha! The same God that forgave Paul, also forgives us because of the same blood that Jesus shed on the cross. I JUST LOVE STABILITY AND SECURITY. That is what I find in Christ.
As Christians, we must live it, share it, believe it, and IF WE WILL, the lost will see a diference. Lift up Christ and then just get out of the way and watch God work!
I have enjoyed the class. It makes me appreciate Christ even more now that we have studies these other religions.
Nick, you are awesome! Be very blessed always. I look forward to seeing how our Lord will continue to use you in the future to futher His kingdom.
